LIFE ON THE ROAD

The 'Life on the Road' project involved telling the story of the people in the transport industry through a storyboard exhibition at Winton's Diamantina Heritage Truck and Machinery Museums.

Winton's Diamantina Heritage Truck and Machinery Museum's 'Life on the Road' storyboard exhibition is a valued arts and cultural project paying tribute to six of our region's transport pioneer truckies. These men made a significant contribution to the development of Queensland's road transport system.

The exhibition is important to the Truck Museum, local community and wider region to preserve and share the early road transport memories before they are forgotten. Stockwell-Webber Foundation generous support has enabled the Truck Museum to grow a strong project that has been received favourably by the many visiting trucking enthusiasts to the museum.
